WHATS.NEW
______________________________________________________________
Version 1.70: Released February 5, 1992
* All disabled features have been restored! Once again the
MSI Menu System is being distributed as a complete program,
including the Menu Editor lock, individual menu item password
protection and the full range of menu item "Selects:" options.
Since disabling these features did not affect registrations, I
decided to restore them even though the program is still not
supporting itself. I don't know that this will have an effect
either, but I do feel better about offering a complete
program.
* A reported bug in the time display has been fixed. This was
causing the times between 12 noon and 12:59 to incorrectly
display as AM.
* An unreported bug that affected the location of the time and
date display when the background color was changed has been
fixed.
* A bug that was prematurely removing the "Press F3 again to
end Move" prompt in the Menu Editor has been fixed.
! * A new command allows you to customize the menus' backdrop
screen with your name or the name of your company. You will
automatically be prompted for a name when you first run this
new version. Afterward, press ALT-U inside the Menu Editor
to change the name.
! * A number of changes have been made to allow MSI to load
faster. This reduces the amount of time used in getting back
to your menus after using an 'Action' item.
* Several changes have occurred in the SUPPORT.MSI file,
including the addition of new Regional Support and
Distribution BBS's.
* A new dedicated support conference is now available on the
international computer network, NANet. Many thanks to Nick
Hartz, Sysop of the newest Regional Support BBS, The Hartz
Foundation, in St. Peters, MO., for proposing and then getting
approval for the conference.
* I've added two new files; POLICY.MSI which includes my
support, pricing and upgrade policies and VENDOR.DOC which
includes important distribution information for vendors.
